BREAKING 8/20: ICE DIRECTOR BLASTS SAN DIEGO – COUNTY BLOCKS FEDERAL TRAINING

IMMIGRATION HISTORY: Previously removed Oct. 14, 2008 under a June 2008 final order. Illegally reentered at unknown date/location.
RAP SHEET (per ICE/Herald): pending vehicular homicide; prior convictions for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; assault and battery; using a motor vehicle without authority; refusal to identify while operating; furnishing a false name; operating recklessly; refusing identification.
Acting ERO Boston Field Office Director David Wesling: “Sadly, it appears as though Bristol County Sheriff Paul Heroux followed through on his promise to not cooperate with ICE, resulting in the release of this habitual criminal illegal alien offender, who is currently charged with vehicular homicide, back into his constituents’ community. In fact, on three separate occasions, this criminal illegal alien was in the custody of state or local authorities, and they released him without honoring our detainer. Had any of the prior detainers been honored, lives would have been saved.”
DHS: “If you come to our country illegally and break our laws, we will find you, arrest you, and you will never return.”

BREAKING 8/18: ICE LODGES DETAINER – HONDURAN ILLEGAL ALIEN CHARGED IN FATAL NC HIT-AND-RUN
FATHER DEAD IN THE STREET. DRIVER FLEES. ICE FILES THE DETAINER. Fox News reports U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against Mauricio Josue Alberto Sarmiento, 21, a Honduran illegal alien charged in the fatal hit-and-run that killed James Robert Bagley III, 51, in Sylva, North Carolina.
Sylva Police say Sarmiento struck Bagley with his car early August 2 near Sylva Plaza, then left the scene. Officers and first responders found Bagley unresponsive in the street. He died from his injuries.
Five days later, Sylva PD announced Sarmiento’s arrest on charges including felony hit-and-run resulting in serious injury or death, no liability insurance, driving with a revoked license, exceeding safe speed, and failure to reduce speed. He also had an outstanding arrest order in Jackson County. The same day he was arrested, ICE lodged a detainer with the Jackson County Jail. He remains in custody there.
HOW HE GOT HERE (per DHS to Fox): Sarmiento entered illegally through Texas as an unaccompanied minor in October 2021. Border Patrol arrested him after entry. DHS says he was “reunified” with an unrelated sponsor and released into the country under the Biden administration.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin told Fox: officials in Jackson County should cooperate and not release this criminal from jail without notifying ICE. Mullin: “If it weren’t for the Biden Administration’s disastrous open borders, James Bagley would still be alive. By securing our border and deporting illegal aliens, we can save lives and prevent tragedies like this one from ever happening again.”

BREAKING 8/14: ILLEGAL ALIEN STOLE U.S. IDENTITY FOR 20+ YEARS — VOTED IN ELECTIONS — GETS 3 YEARS + DEPORTATION
IDENTITY THEFT. PASSPORT FRAUD. FAKE CITIZENSHIP. ILLEGAL VOTING. DHS says an ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) case just put a criminal illegal alien behind bars for more than two decades of fraud — including voting in American elections.
On August 12, Carlos Felipe Jaramillo-Grajales, a criminal illegal alien from Colombia, was sentenced to three years in federal prison after pleading guilty to making false statements in a U.S. passport application, aggravated identity theft, falsely claiming a Social Security number, and making a false claim to U.S. citizenship. After he serves his time, he will be removed from the United States.
Per DHS and the U.S. Attorney’s Office (Middle District of Florida), Jaramillo-Grajales used a U.S. citizen’s name, date of birth, and Social Security number to obtain a passport, a Florida driver’s license, and voter registration. He voted in several elections, including the 2020 general election. He also used the stolen identity in a marriage scheme that helped a woman naturalize, then re-entered later under his real name on a fiancé visa and sought permanent residence.
Secretary Markwayne Mullin: “This criminal illegal alien from Colombia has just been sentenced to three years in a federal prison for identity theft and falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen. Because of his fraud, he was able to obtain a driver’s license and vote in our elections… DHS will always fight to protect the integrity of our elections, because election security is national security. Only Americans should be electing American leaders.”
HSI Jacksonville Assistant Special Agent in Charge Tim Hemker: this conviction shows identity theft, immigration fraud, and fraud against U.S. government systems will be investigated thoroughly and prosecuted fully. Case investigated by HSI, State Department Diplomatic Security Service, and SSA OIG.
PART OF A PATTERN: DHS flags recent non-citizen illegal voting cases — including aliens who illegally voted in New Jersey, Louisiana, Kansas, and elsewhere — plus directives to deport aliens who vote and warnings to states about non-citizens on voter rolls.

CALIFORNIA SANCTUARY CRACKED: OPERATION GUARDIAN ANGEL – 362 CRIMINAL ILLEGALS PULLED FROM JAILS
LOST ANGELES CAN’T HIDE THEM ANYMORE. DOJ Central District of California reports that Operation Guardian Angel – launched to neutralize California’s sanctuary-state blockade – has forced the transfer of 362 criminal illegal aliens from county jails into federal custody across L.A., the Inland Empire, and the Central Coast. 769 federal arrest warrants issued; 347 charged with illegal re-entry after removal or other federal crimes (guns, drugs, violence).
How it works: federal warrants for aliens just booked locally. Jails must honor the warrants – SB 54 sanctuary rules don’t stop a federal arrest warrant. ICE ERO LA Field Office Director Thomas Giles: California politicians force locals to dump rapists, gang members, and murderers back on the street – this partnership keeps them off the streets.
AMONG THOSE TAKEN (per DOJ): child sex offender who re-entered after removal; five-time deportee “Sharky” with multiple felony robberies; four-time deportee with drug trafficking/DV/robbery history; and Jose Cristian Saravia-Sanchez – accused of shooting and killing an Inglewood man who tried to stop a catalytic converter theft (local LE blocked from honoring ICE detainer under state law; now faces federal re-entry + alien-in-possession charges too).
